Biography
Soprano Anneke de Hoop (born 1998) is active in both opera and concert repertoire. On the operatic stage she has performed the role of Donna Elvira in Mozart's Don Giovanni in Saluzzo (Italy) and the Fünfte Magd in Strauss's Elektra in Berlin. She has also appeared as a Novice and Conversa in Puccini's Suor Angelica. With Opera Per Tutti she performs regularly, most recently at Het Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, and earlier alongside artists such as Marco Bakker.
As an oratorio soloist, Anneke has been heard in Brahms's Ein deutsches Requiem, Bach's Matthäuspassion and Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle.
Alongside her concert work she serves as cantor at the Elandstraatkerk in The Hague, and collaborates with PKN ministers on the musical shaping of the Sunday services.
Anneke studied at Codarts Rotterdam, taking classical voice with baritone Henk Neven and church music with Hanna Rijken and Arie Hoek. Before her conservatory years she was connected to the Academy of Musical Talent (AMT), studying with Charlotte Margiono and Wendy Roobol. During her studies she took lessons and masterclasses with Margreet Honig, Marcel Reijans and Charlotte Riedijk, among others. She continues her vocal development under the guidance of Gundula Hintz, Ira Siff and Eva-Maria Westbroek, with coachings from Daan Boertien, David Bollen and Jan van Maanen.
